The cool thing about Old Fashioned-style drinks is that you can try a multitude of variations with an easy substitution of almost anything sweet for the plain sugar/syrup. . In this drink, I started with a healthy pour of bourbon, paired with ginjinha as the sweetener (see #BarFaithGinja for more info on this unique Portuguese cherry liqueur), and a dash of @honestjohnbittersco Coffee + Cherry bitters. Since this cherry liqueur isn't too sweet (easily drinkable on its own over ice), I was a bit more liberal, but do adjust your sweet ingredient to taste. . Recipe

  • 2oz bourbon (I used Old Elk Bourbon)
  • 1oz Ginja9 Portuguese sour cherry liqueur
  • 2 dashes of Honest John Bitters Co Coffee + Cherry bitters

Stir all ingredients with ice and strain over a fresh cube. Express a citrus twist over top.
