About
I love a classic gin&tonic – not too sweet, refreshing, and simple. Well luckily, it’s actually super easy to switch it up from there to build a delicious concoction that is perfect for these warmer days! Add some fresh fruit and suddenly you’ve got yourself an artisan cocktail that’s sure to impress and refresh! Here I started with a classic G&T (with some fresh tonic syrup instead of regular tonic but feel free to use your fav tonic option), and added in fresh blueberries along with some orange and lavender flavors for that extra burst of deliciousness. Could a summer drink be any more refreshing? This went down WAY too easy
The only tonic syrup I had ever tried previously was by Small Hand Foods. That one was VERY earthy, bitter, and intense. As unique and complex as it is (and I love it for that!), it’s not for the faint of heart or those who are used to regular tonic water (or even fancier ones like Fevertree). Well, not all tonic syrups are created equal and this &TONIC syrup could not be any more different! It’s tart and citrusy and actually reminds me of unsweetened cranberry juiceĀ – absolutely perfect to pair in refreshing fruity summer drinks! This is definitely a more approachable tonic syrup to try out for those venturing into artisan cocktail ingredients.
