About
This drink is for the fan of the Old Fashioned who also actually really enjoys Manhattans, but only when it leans on the drier side. AKA me. I’m still in the early days of my White Port discovery, but this cocktail is just fan-freakin-tastic. Channeling the Portuguese origin of the enchanting White Port, I paired this with another popular Portuguese libation – ginjinha.
Ginjinha is a traditional Portuguese cherry liqueur, which is often drank on its own as a sweet treat, and sometimes even served in a small edible chocolate cup. Compared to other cherry liqueurs like Heering, it’s much less syrupy and also less “herbal,” exuding a true dark cherry flavor. Read more about this fun liqueur here!
