About
This one is quite a doozy. I was craving something with my beloved Rum Fire and was considered a simple daiquiri (rum, lime, sugar), but then something urged me to take a walk on the wild side. So, I paired (pitted?) this incredibly funky, intensely flavored rum against another intensely flavorful spirit – the smoky Del Maguey Vida mezcal.
Head to head, I wanted these two spirits to duel it out and see which flavor would prevail. Who won? Well, as much as I’d love to declare a clear winner, I felt that they actually mixed extraordinarily harmoniously, building on and enhancing each other’s flavors. Strong flavors getting along? Makes for less drama, but a delicious cocktail.
