Here’s a close up look at the latest addition to Bar Faith – a decorative yet utilitarian way to support your bottle hoarding! Or if you have a normal person amount of booze – just a fun way to showcase your home bar without tucking bottles away into a dark cabinet.
Here’s some ideas and inspiration for anyone interested in creating their own boozy bookshelf.
- This bookshelf itself is a super affordable buy from amazon. For just over $100 (only $70 now at time of writing!), it’s surprisingly sturdy and in my opinion looks pretty great
- Don’t clutter it up. Less is more. Leave intentional gaps, change the direction of books, add decorative vases, live plants, or sentimental memorabilia that makes you happy to see! Don’t try to fit as much as possible; that’s the downfall.
- Use it as a sneaky storage area for some extra bottles, glassware, cocktail tools, or non-perishable garnishes! Use cute mason jars for storage or your copper mule mugs as a temp storage for straws or swizzle sticks. How often do you really use that mule mug anyway?
- If you’re nerdy like me, consider creating “themed” sections. I have my agave plant with my mezcal books and a couple bottles of mezcal and clay copitas. My botanical books are with a cute plant. Amaro selection with the Amaro book and an empty Campari-soda bottle as a mini vase. Rum books with tiki mugs and a sneaky bottle of rum as a bookend. You get the gist.
- Look for inspiration everywhere! Have a backbar you really love the look of? Study it and see what you like about it.
