Recipe
- 2oz light rum (I used Plantation 3 star)
- .25oz applejack
- .5oz apricot liqueur (I used Rothman&Winter)
- 1oz lime juice

- Float of Plantation Stiggins Fancy Pineapple rum mixed with a couple dashes of Angostura bitters
Combine all except the float into a tall glass with crushed ice and stir well to combine. Top with more crushed ice and add the float.
About
Feelin like a tiki drink, I decided to finally try out this recipe I saw from @cocktail_adventuring a while back (EVERYTHING he posts is golden, I need to try it all!). I pretty much followed the recipe exactly, and the result was miraculous. Delicious, fresh, balanced, and oh so good.
Tiki drinks are famous for having a laundry list of ingredients, and it’s definitely an art to combine the different flavors harmoniously seeking the perfect balance. A well constructed tiki drink should not be cloyingly sweet and syrupy, despite the common associations with such (thanks to the widely available artificial syrups/juices and bottled ‘mixers’ on the market), and is frequently quite potent and refreshing with the sweetness coming from fresh fruit and natural spice flavors. Give this one a try and surely you won’t be disappointed! See more tiki drink recipes here!
