About
I was at the liquor store (as usual) and overheard the staff talk about how they just got this new product in….so being the cocktail nerd I am (who also happens to love St. Germain), I had to pick it up. This G&T isn’t made with tonic syrup, but this Fevertree elderflower gin and tonic was just as delicious – floral with just the right amount of sweetness. And come on, what doesn’t taste good in a mason jar?
Elderflower is actually a flowering plant that somehow has a flavor profile that I find quite similar to lychee, a biologically unrelated tropical asian fruit. It’s sweet and floral with a flavor you’ll be hard pressed to find anyone NOT like (in my opinion). This G&T was delicious, quick, and perfect for a lovely spring day. Though…I’m sure you could achieve a very similar drink by just adding a bit of elderflower liqueur to a normal Gin and Tonic as well. St. Germain is one of my favorite fail-safes, and this is a reminder for me to incorporate the flavor into more delicious libations!
