Glassware

Making a drink taste delicious starts by making it *look* delicious – we taste first with our eyes, then our mouths. Serve the same cocktail in a Solo cup and a fancy coupe and I guarantee it won’t taste the same. (there have literally been scientific studies that support this)

If I could own specialty glassware for every drink, I totally would (glassware makes me so happy!), but alas I live a practical life (boo) sooo here’s a look at my most used.

Front (L-R):

  • Highball/collins: I actually find these too large for most cocktails (unless it’s a tiki-style zombie or swizzle filled with crushed ice), but it’s a good basic to have on hand
  • Fizz: These are from CB2 and I looove the size (10.5oz). Perfect for fizzes, gin&tonics, or any reasonable-sized drink served over ice
  • Old fashioned: The standard. Used for any stirred drink served over a large ice cube
  • Chaser/sipper: This is also from CB2. It’s called a “chaser” glass but it’s just so cute and I use it for tastings or any spirit drank neat

Back (L-R):

  • Coupe: The standard cocktail #coupe! I got these from a small shop online a few years back and they make me happy. A lot easier to find in stores nowadays. Used for most of my cocktails that are served up (up = no ice) – Stemless martini: Alternative option to the coupe. Less risk for knocking over
  • Small wine: These are a great IKEA find and cost less than a dollar each! Super affordable option if you don’t want to shell out for coupes or Nick and Nora glasses .
