About

Who loves historical recipes? This is one that dates back to 1937, originally published in a UK Bartenders’ Guild book. There isn’t much more information on this drink, but I’m glad the recipe has persisted and also that it uses Strega!

As someone who loves all things martini-esque, I really enjoyed this one. It’s rich, herbal, and complex. The Strega really shines yet does not overwhelm. This a botanical lover’s dream. It’s not ultra dry, nor ultra sweet and falls happily in that lovely middle ground.

If you’ve got a bottle of Strega around, give this a go!
