Recipe
- 1.5oz rum (The Real McCoy 12 Madeira cask)
- 1 brown sugar cube (from Whole Foods)
- Couple dashes of Angostura bitters
Drizzle bitters atop the sugar cube in an Old Fashioned glass. Smash it, add a few drops of rum and stir until mostly dissolved. Add a large cube, stir a bit more, then twist a citrus peel over top. Drop it in and enjoy.
About
Most nights I will just have a neat dram of something, and this night started out as such. Midway through, I decided I wasn’t feelin’ it, and made an Old Fashioned out of this delectable rum.
One brown sugar cube, few dashes of Angostura, and my rum. Mixed up all in the same glass, and a large cube added only at the end. It doesn’t get any easier (unless you’re using syrup, which will save you the effort of waiting for the sugar granules to dissolve). DELICIOUS.
