About
Nothing says brunch like some garnish-laden fizzy drink in a wine glass, and this drink is fresh and clean with a sweet botanical-rich background. I recently got this new bottle of Jardesca, a California aperitiva from our northern wine country neighbors in Sonoma that’s essentially a botanicals-fortified wine.
It’s a lovely blended white wine that is enriched with beautiful botanicals including pink peppercorns, pink grapefruit, and bay leaf, and fortified with a distilled grape spirit (eau de vie). It’s not very sweet like many fortified wines tend to be (which I really appreciate for my drier palate), and just a perfect ingredient for refreshing long cocktails.
