About
Ah the daiquiri. Almost can’t get more classic than that. The foundation of so many drinks…the strawberry daiquiri, Hemingway daiquiri, frozen daiquiri, mango daiquiri, the list goes on and on… the recipe is so simple at its core that it leaves so much room for experimentation! The basic daiquiri has only 3 ingredients: rum, lime, and sugar. That’s it. (well, and ice of course) Play around with the rum you choose (silver Spanish-style, light English-style, sugarcane-based French agricole rum, etc), the sugar you use (plain simple syrup, raw/cane sugar syrup, even fruit-based syrups, liqueurs, or honey!), vary your citrus options (grapefruit, lemon) and don’t forget to play around with the ratios of the 3 key ingredients to make your perfect combo! From there, go one step further and muddle in fruit and/or herbs (basil/mint/thyme?) to really liven things up! The possibilities are endless! But here’s your basic recipe, which is perfectly delectable on its own.
