Recipe

  • 1.5oz Old Tom Gin (I used Tanqueray Old Tom. If you don’t have Old Tom Gin, try using a London Dry and add in a barspoon of simple syrup)
  • .75oz lime juice
  • 2 dashes of Angostura bitters

Shake all ingredients with ice and strain into a coupe.

This is the classic Bennett cocktail, first published in a 1930s cocktail guide. Similar to a gin rickey, this is a fantastic cocktail for those seeking a stiff libation that is low on sugar but high on flavor. Save your calories for a tiki drink later. 😉
