Old Fashioned

Recipe

  • 2oz bourbon (I usually prefer a higher proof choice to better stand up to dilution from the ice)
  • .25oz simple syrup (adjust to taste)
  • Couple dashes of Angostura bitters

Stir all ingredients with ice, then strain over a fresh large cube. Add a *critical* spritz of orange peel oil by gently squeezing the peel over the top of the drink, and lightly rub the peel across the rim of the glass. Drop in.
