Queen Elizabeth

Recipe

from Bar Agricole

  • 1.5oz gold Jamaican rum (I used Mezan XO Jamaica, but use your favorite! Appleton or Smith&Cross would work great)
  • .5oz lime juice
  • .5oz good quality or homemade grenadine (please don’t try making this with the neon Rose’s crap and think it will taste anything remotely the same)

Shake everything together with ice and strain. Garnish with some fresh slapped mint (to help release the oils)

About

I had this cocktail at a rum event I went to a few months ago at Bar Agricole and this was one of my favorite cocktails they served that night. It was so delicious that I had to ask for the recipe and since then, it’s been on my list to recreate at home. Well, ta daa!

This is one of the easiest recipes ever with only 3 ingredients, and it tastes completely amazing. It exemplifies the classic cocktail “sour” template of spirit+sour+sweet, and the flavors mesh together completely harmoniously. So, please do yourself a favor, make some homemade grenadine, and have at it!
