About
If you haven’t gone out for Bee’s Knees Week yet, you still have until Sunday to join in on the 2nd annual event, organized by Barr Hill Gin to raise awareness and financially support organizations that focus on protecting the declining bee population. Similar to Negroni Week, this is an event where delicious cocktails and charity collide…aka give yourself an excuse to go out for drinks by finding a participating restaurant/bar on beeskneesweek.com.
The role of bees is critical in nature, not just for the production of delicious honey, but for the pollination of over 1/3 of the food crops humans eat. Their decline is attributed to a variety of human activities, from the usage of heavy pesticides to environmental stress caused by climate change.
So raise a toast to the noble bee with an honorary Bee’s Knees cocktail!
(JFYI, Grenoble is the region in France where Chartreuse is made)
